A responsible business is a healthy business
Healthy business
A responsible business is a healthy business. We encourage this by taking control across our entire chain: from the seed to packaging in the shop. We consider long-term cooperation with our growers and buyers to be very important.
Products that are appreciated
We balance supply and demand and structure our sales to ensure future-proof production. Not only does this enable us to ensure the best possible quality, but also to avoid overproduction and wastage.

We take good care of our people
We encourage diversity and inclusiveness. We provide opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of education. And we remove barriers wherever we can.
We want to contribute to a better and fairer world. That is why our cultivation sites in Tunisia work according to the Fairtrade principles. We go the extra mile to improve conditions, with clean drinking water, a hot meal, and reliable transport to and from work. In doing so, we give something back to the country and give people a chance to develop.
Fair labour and wages
We are proud of our responsible business practices and fair labour and wages. All Harvest House growers have obtained Global GAP certification. We comply with statutory social standards and have this verified through audits. We aspire to achieve a 100% score for GRASP and SEDEX in the Netherlands and a 100% score for Fairtrade and/or SMETA in Tunisia and Marocco – with implementation of due diligence policy lines and processes in the chain in the area of human rights in accordance with OECD and UN guidelines.
