Crop protection
Greenhouse hygiene plays a key role in ensuring that plants grow strong and healthy. Unfortunately, every crop can be affected by diseases and pests. To combat this, our growers keep a close eye on the conditions in the greenhouse and take action as quickly as possible. The growers use a whole range of crop protection methods, also known as Integrated Pest Management (IPM). This consists, among other things, of prevention techniques, non-chemical methods, and the use of chemical agents. It creates a general level of cleanliness in the greenhouse for crops to grow. Think of it as being a bit like hygiene in the kitchen: before you start cooking, you wash your hands with soap, and when you are done, you wash the pans and cutlery again. That is exactly how it works in the greenhouse.
