Water consumption

In our greenhouses, we can give our plants exactly the right amount of water. We filter and recirculate any water not used by the plants. This means that growers need less than one watering can of water for one kilogram of salads. Not a single drop of water goes to waste!

The water that our growers use is collected rainwater. This is collected in tanks, silos, or underground. A drip system ensures that exactly the right amount of water reaches the plant at exactly the right time. Any water not used by the plants is collected for reuse. Nothing is wasted and nothing is discharged into the surface water.
