Our organic cultivation

We go a step further

Our salads grow in the greenhouse where conditions can be controlled precisely to allow optimum vegetable growth. We give the plant exactly what it needs to produce the most delicious salads. Some of our growers go a step further and grow their plants organically.

Growing plants organically means growing them during their natural season as much as possible. The plants are grown in greenhouses, but with their roots in the ground. By heating the greenhouse, we ensure that the climate is pleasant, but we don’t use grow lights. The plants are only given natural nutrients and fertilisers. We change the crop every season to keep the soil healthy. This is called crop rotation.

We deploy natural enemies to combat harmful insects. Sometimes that is not enough; that’s when we use crop protection that is 100% organic.

Tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumber, and aubergine

As a fruit vegetable specialist, we offer a wide range of products. Organic salads certainly belong in this range. Covering an area of almost 40 hectares, we are the largest grower in the Netherlands when it comes to organic greenhouse salads. We have a wide range of products: cucumbers, blocky peppers, pointed sweet peppers, aubergines, and a variety of tomatoes, including cherry tomatoes, beef tomatoes and vine tomatoes. We go for tasty, strong varieties.

We have the drive to do things properly

A different cultivation mentality

Our organic growers, like all our other growers, are passionate and committed and produce high-quality salads. Yet they have a slightly different mentality when it comes to cultivation. Our organic growers have the drive to do things properly for Earth. We believe that we contribute to biodiversity and better soil life thanks to organic cultivation. That is why we take organic cultivation a step further than conventional cultivation.
