Harvest House invests in innovation for its pepper growers

18 -11-2025

The expansion of the Rainbow Kleinpak packing centre is in full swing. Along the A20 motorway in De Lier, the new building is taking shape. With this sustainable investment, Harvest House is increasing its capacity to pack bell peppers in a market‑oriented, sustainable and efficient manner. In doing so, we continue to build on strong cooperation within the chain.

Rainbow Kleinpak is the collective packing centre of Harvest House’s pepper growers. Here, bell peppers are packed in customer‑oriented consumer packaging for retail. By working together at a single location, using modern technology and short lines, we achieve efficiency, flexibility and reliability. Each year, around 68 million packs of bell peppers are produced at this site. Organic bell peppers and sweet pointed peppers are also packed here. The expansion creates additional packaging capacity for the various types of bell peppers.

Construction is being carried out sustainably in accordance with BREEAM, the international quality mark for sustainable buildings. The new packing hall will feature the latest technical applications, enabling us to guarantee quality and market‑oriented packing. This will allow us to serve our partners even more efficiently.

Construction is progressing according to schedule. In the summer of 2026, the packing hall will be completed and fit‑out will begin. Following this, the transition to the renewed logistics structure will take place in phases, bringing together both new and existing packaging lines.
