The expansion at Rainbow Kleinpak packaging centre is in full swing. Along the A20 motorway in De Lier, the new building is taking shape. With this sustainable investment, Harvest House is increasing its capacity to pack bell peppers in a market-oriented, sustainable and efficient way. This way, we continue to build on strong cooperation in the chain.
Rainbow Kleinpak is the collective packaging centre of Harvest House's pepper growers. Here, bell peppers are packed in customer-oriented consumer packaging for retail. By working together at one location, with modern techniques and short lines, we achieve efficiency, flexibility and reliability. Every year, we produce around 68 million packages of bell peppers. We also pack organic bell peppers and sweet pointed peppers at this location. The expansion makes room for more packaging capacity for the various types of bell peppers.
We build sustainably in accordance with BREEAM, the international Quality mark for sustainable buildings. The new packing hall will have the latest technical applications, enabling us to guarantee quality and market-oriented packing. This will enable us to serve our Partners even more efficiently.
Construction is progressing on schedule. In summer 2026, the packing hall will be ready and we will start fitting it out. After that, we will switch to the renewed logistics structure in phases, bringing together new and existing packaging lines.
